Amazon’s ‘Transparent’ Will Be Free For Everyone To Watch On Saturday

Amazon’s Transparent will be available for anyone to watch for free, but there is a catch. Amazon may be gaining in popularity with the recent success of Transparent.

The streaming service will offer a free stream of the show for one day only, allowing people to binge-watch the full first season on Saturday, January 24th. The full first season can be streamed for free here.

The show was recently awarded multiple Golden Globes, which was a huge win for the network and the transgender community. Additionally, many people that had not heard of the show, or did not know enough about it, are likely to want to check it out now.

It was a big deal for Amazon when Transparent won not only the award for Best Comedy Series, but also Best Actor In A Comedy Series for Jeffrey Tambor, who dedicated his award to the transgender community. The series was also recently nominated for a GLAAD award.

Transparent stars Jeffrey Tambor as a transgender parent in an effort to come out to his family. The admission forces other family secrets out, and they are forced to deal with one another as their lives begin to unravel in a comedic fashion.

In addition to Tambor, the show’s cast features Gaby Hoffman, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, and Judith Light as the Pfefferman family. The series is created and directed by Jill Soloway, who previously executive produced The United States of Tara and Six Feet Under.

In case you do not have time to watch the full first season of Transparent on Saturday, Amazon is also offering a deal on its prime service that will take effect soon. In celebration of winning an award at the 72nd Golden Globes, Amazon Prime will be only $72 for the year, a service that is normally $99.
