Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari is none too pleased with News Corp’s Rupert Murdoch’s criticism of Muslims, and he’s making sure all of his millions of followers on Twitter know about it.
Just last Wednesday, two masked gunmen opened fire at Charlie Hebdo headquarters in Paris, home of the French satirical magazine. The attack left 12 people dead, including four cartoonists, plus many others were wounded. The shooting was reportedly carried out by terrorists who are angry over the portrayal of the Prophet Muhammad in the publication. Since then, Muslims everywhere have come under extreme scrutiny, as many people are unable to differentiate between Muslims and their extremist counterparts.
News Corp Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch took to Twitter on Friday to post his comments on the attack. Not one to shy away from controversial statements, Murdoch said that he holds all Muslims responsible for the shooting.
Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible.

After comedian Aziz Ansari caught wind of Murdoch’s tweets, he responded by asking the outspoken Australian what his own parents could do to help rid the world of terrorist groups. Ansari was born to an Indian Tamil Muslim family in Columbia, South Carolina.
.@rupertmurdoch Rups can we get a step by step guide? How can my 60 year old parents in NC help destroy terrorist groups? Plz advise.

.@rupertmudoch Are you responsible for the evil shit all Christians do or just the insane amount of evil you yourself contribute to?

Ansari’s tweets didn’t stop there, either. The actor well known for his portrayal of Tom Haverford continued his attack and got lots of his followers to join in. The comedian joked that Murdoch was responsible for evil acts committed by Christians, including pedophilia in the Catholic Church and John Lennon’s death.
.@rupertmurdoch is responsible for all pedophilia committed by anyone Catholic. @rupertmurdoch why are you pro-pedophile :(

It wasn’t long before the hashtag #RupertsFault was born, and the media mogul was soon mock-blamed for everything under the sun.
Appalled @RupertMurdoch decided not to stop the Spanish Inquisition. Just appalled. #RupertsFault

Aziz Ansari wasn’t the only celebrity to take on Rupert Murdoch on Twitter. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling also condemned Murdoch’s anti-Muslim comments. Following Murdoch’s line of logic, she joked that if he were her responsibility, that she would “auto-excommunicate” from the Church.
