Jan. 17 marks Betty White’s 93rd birthday. Despite just being seven years shy of becoming a centenarian, the Golden Girls actress still shows every bit of vigor and zest for life as those a quarter of her age.
For her birthday, she got a major surprise. On the set of her show Hot in Cleveland, White is greeted every day upon her arrival by one of her assistants who perform a hula dance for her. This time around, the birthday girl is greeted by a flash mob, all performing a hula in honor of the nonagenarian.
As White arrived as a passenger on a golf cart, she is welcomed by a parade of hula dancers, complete with grass skirts, lei’s, and Hawaiian shirts. When the cart arrives at the end of the studio, a large banner that reads “Happy Birthday Betty!” awaits her, and the lifelong actress gets teary-eyed as she relishes what her cast and coworkers have done for her.

• Aside from being the main star, White also co-produced the 1952 sitcom Life with Elizabeth, thus making her one of Hollywood’s first female producers.

• White is the remaining surviving cast member from her hit sitcom Golden Girls despite being the oldest. The show began in 1985 and ran for seven seasons.
• She cited Robert Redford and Jason Momoa as her celebrity crushes.
• She was elected by fans as an honorary mayor of Hollywood in 1955.
