On Monday, Marvel released a new Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer.
The trailer opens with a scene that appears to be the aftermath of a catastrophe. People are seen running among the ruins of buildings.
Then, Tony Stark (also known as Iron Man) is heard saying: “This vulnerable world needs something more powerful than any of us.”
At that point, Ultron himself chimes in.
“Everyone creates the thing they dread,” he says. His voice is provided by actor James Spader, who is thankfully making a comeback in both this movie and with his portrayal as an assassin in The Blacklist on NBC.
When he’s identified as Ultron by David Banner (who transforms into the Hulk), the robot replies: “In the flesh.”
That’s a bit of an odd statement considering that he has no flesh.
The trailer switches to another scene of mayhem, following Nick Fury saying: “No matter who wins or loses, trouble always comes around.”
Then a female character, probably Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johanssen), is shown shedding some clothes. That will get the attention of more than a few fans.
Thor advises his fellow Avengers that they’ve meddled into something they don’t understand.
“We have no place in the world,” Black Widow says, following that warning.
After that, someone’s head is slammed down into what appears to be an operating room table.
Of course, vehicular mayhem is also shown. What good would a superhero movie be without that?
Also in the trailer: Hulk kicking a car so that it’s used as a projectile, Captain America in close quarters combat, and something resembling a touching moment between the Hulk and Black Widow.
That’s followed by Ultron giving somebody this warning: “I’m going to tear you apart from the inside.”
The trailer also shows audiences a violent confrontation between Thor and Tony Stark, outside of his Iron Man suit.
Finally, the big guy himself is shown: Ultron, in all of his Vibranium glory.
