Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are going to spend 2015 more focused on the positive things in life. In 2014, she and Theroux were plagued by rumors that they were splitting up, but this year, the Cake actress says that she is letting the drama and the gossip roll right off of her back.
In November 2014, the tabloids reported that Aniston was involved in a bitter feud with her former love rival Angelina Jolie. In Touch Weekly reportedly that Aniston and Jolie were going head-to-head in a showdown. Despite the reports, the showdown never happened – which was a surprise to no one. Afterward, Aniston took the time to diss Kim Kardashian’s Paper magazine photoshoot. She said, “I was an original, alright? Sorry, Kim K.”
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are completely focused on what will make them both happy in the New Year. The happy couple have been engaged since 2012 and Aniston insists that she doesn’t care about the rumors surrounding her relationship. She’s heard that her romance with Theroux is on the rocks, but says that she is trying to let the negative energy roll off of her back.
She revealed in a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning , “I think I used to really, there was a period where I was hellbent on say, ‘That’s not true, that’s not right, that’s not fair.’ And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back and you realize, I think everyone knows it’s all B.S. and like a soap opera on paper.”
She continued, “The main thing is to try to just keep refocusing back on what you know is true and what makes you guys happy. We know what our truth is. That’s all just static.”
Aniston revealed that her new movie Cake took its toll on her body. She told AwardsLine , “Physically, this movie was trying on my body. I had a lot of pinched nerves just from being in that physical space for five weeks straight, but I missed it when it was over. We had so much fun together. We were like a little theater group.”
Aniston and Theroux have been going strong since they met on the set of their shared movie Wanderlust and things don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Her movie Cake depicts a woman who has suffered a tragic accident and becomes addicted to pain medications and it is already generating Oscar buzz. While critics have typecast the actress as one who should stay in comedies, she has something to say. She revealed in her upcoming CBS interview, “A little part of me saying, ‘I told you so?’ Maybe a teensy one. This felt for me. I was really ready to, you know, just disappear and really go into the depths of a character. We were a little teeny weensy movie made for four hundred dollars and we poured our hearts into it and everyone worked so hard, so that this [nominations] is happening on top of that, it’s just like a huge giant juicy cherry on top.”
