Jennifer Aniston On Angelina Jolie And Feud Rumors: “It’s Just Tiresome And Old”

It’s no secret that Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie aren’t exactly friends, especially considering that the latter is married to the former’s ex beau Brad Pitt. However, this doesn’t mean that they’re enemies either. Aniston, in fact, is making it clear that the feuding rumors are getting old and the media needs to move on already.

According to Aniston during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the gossip has been going on for the past decade and started back in 2005 after she and Pitt separated. Not long after, he became romantically linked to Jolie, whom he costarred with for the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Jolie herself confirmed that the spark between her and Pitt began during filming.

In Aniston’s own words regarding the rumor that never seemingly goes away:

“It’s just tiresome and old. It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes.”

Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie were even spotted attending the Critics’ Choice Awards. Both of their films (Jolie’s Unbroken and Aniston’s Cake), though, were snubbed at the Oscars. It was interesting to note, however, that the two were seated close enough that they could both be seen together in the same snapshot. There appeared, however, to be no “hi” or “how ya doin,” much less an interaction at all between the two.

In the interview, Aniston was very complimentary of Jolie on her directing of Unbroken, calling the movie “beautiful” and that she did a “gorgeous job.” She ended her interview by calling the feuding rumors “petty BS” and that the press should focus more on an actor’s work rather than on scandals and gossip.

It really looks like Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie have no ill will towards one another. Sure, they probably won’t be calling one another up for a sleepover or take a selfie pic together, but it’s certain that any rumors of feuding and cattiness are just that, rumors.
