Jennifer Aniston Speaks Out About Her Oscar Snub

Jennifer Aniston was part of the many Oscar snubs that were noted during yesterday’s selection of 2015 Oscar nominations. She was nominated for other awards for best actress for her role in Cake, but not an Oscar.

She recently spoke about being left out of the Academy’s selection while on the red carpet of the Critics Choice Movie Awards, which aired on Thursday.

Speaking about being left out of the Academy Awards, the veteran of the comedy genre told Access Hollywood on the red carpet “I’d be lying if there wasn’t a little aw. But after that there’s a lot of like, ‘But look at tonight, look at the Globes, look at the SAGs! We’re an embarrassment of wonderful riches that we’ve [gotten for] a movie that hasn’t even been released and is teensy tiny. This is all just kind of cherries on top of something that was really special to us. So we’re really excited.”

Jennifer Aniston’s Oscar snub was one of the most talked about due to her recent awards campaign, and then Marion Cotillard’s nomination surprised many, nominated for her role in the film Two Days, One Night.

Despite who is nominated, it seems that Julianne Moore may be destined to win everything though, as she has already won the Golden Globe and Critics Choice award for her role in the film Still Alice.

Aniston also said that her close friend Reese Witherspoon, who is nominated for her role in the film Wild, sent her a sweet email following the announcement of the nominations.

Jennifer Aniston’s latest film has not been released to theaters yet, but many critics have praised her performance, and she was nominated for the best actress award by the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and the Critics Choice Awards.

Although Jennifer Aniston had an Oscar snub for her Cake role in 2015, she is still new to the drama genre, and has plenty of time to get nominated with another role. She had momentum and buzz surrounding her name, but has also said that the nominees are amazing women and that they are all rooting for each other.
