The Memphis Grizzlies needed help from Zach Randolph in order to defeat the Phoenix Suns, a game that went into double overtime. It was a thriller of a game throughout and ended with a final score of 122-110 as the Grizzlies took control in the second overtime.
Zach Randolph had a double double in the game and was also the leading scorer in the game, which helped to lead the Grizzlies to victory. He scored 27 points while adding 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.
Marc Gasol struggled for much of the game, but was finally able to get going late, and finished with 12 points by the end. Mike Conley added 25 points and eight assists and Courtney Lee had 18 points.
The Memphis Grizzlies have received great help from Zach Randolph in recent years, and he continues to help them win big. The Grizzlies are having more success lately than they used to, and there has even been talk of a possible deep run in the playoffs.
The Grizzlies were playing without two of their players in the game, Tayshaun Prince and Quincy Pondexter. The two of them are currently waiting to be traded, and are involved in a three-team deal that will send Prince to the Celtics and Pondexter to the Pelicans, while the Grizzlies will receive Jeff Green from the Celtics.
The Suns were led by Isiah Thomas, who had 20 points in the game, but also had a costly turnover at the end of the first overtime, which was only one of his seven in the game. Markieff Morris added 17 points for Phoenix, while Alex Len had 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Zach Randolph’s double double for the Memphis Grizzlies proved to be what was needed in order to survive a battle against the Phoenix Suns. Both teams are currently in the top 8, but the Suns have lost 2 in a row, and are slipping in the 8th spot.
