Have you ever wondered what the U.S. will look like in 2020? It’s a safe bet that homes in 2020 will be more energy-efficient and technologically advanced compared to the homes of today. Where will the job growth be? The fastest growth will take place in Phoenix, AZ, Tucson, AZ, El Paso, TX, Las Vegas, NV and Colorado Springs, CO. The slowest growth will take place in Detroit, MI, Milwaukee, WI, Cleveland, OH, Buffalo, NY and Gary, IN. By 2020, 65 percent of all jobs will require post-secondary education and training, up from 28 percent in 1973, according to a Georgetown University study. The fastest growing jobs will be in the healthcare field. There should also be an abundance of jobs for Biomedical Engineers, Brickmasons and Carpenters.

Raleigh, NC, Kennewick, WA, Austin, TX, Provo-Orem, UT, and Hinesville, GA will be among the fastest growing areas in America in 2020. What about a picture of the U.S. population in 2020? Nationally, minorities will comprise 40 percent of the population in 2020, with Hispanics accounting for close to 20 percent, according to Intuit 2020 report.
