If you’re anything like me, there are some things that you have experienced in 2013 that you desire to change in 2014! You have made some New Years Resolutions; you’re motivated about keeping them, and getting the results that you want. 2014 is your year! You are determined to save money, lose weight, exercise more, quit smoking, cultivate better relationships, find a more fulfilling job, or start that business. You refuse to let another year go by without getting the change that you desire to have.
There’s only one problem! Most New Years Resolutions start on January 1st, but fizzle out around two weeks later. That euphoric feeling of purchasing your gym membership and workout clothes, setting up that new savings account, buying the electronic cigarettes, drafting your resume, or filing the incorporation papers for your new business, has worn off and you have started to lose interest…once again. You determine that achieving your New Years goals aren’t really worth it, or possible, so you just give up on them…until next New Years.
You don’t achieve your goals because you aren’t capable. It isn’t that you don’t have the potential. You don’t give up because the desire or the motivation isn’t there. The problem is that you don’t have a plan to help you succeed. So to increase the probability of you keeping your New Years Resolutions this year, I have created a 7-Step Process that will help you keep your resolutions, achieve your goals, or pursue your wildest dreams.
1: Decide What You Want.
2: Be Very Specific. List as much detail as possible.
3: Determine emotional impact that achieving this goal will have on you.
4: Determine and list the benefits of achieving this goal.
5: Determine and list what will you potentially lose as a result of achieving this goal.
6: Make yourself accountable to as many people as possible.
7: Create a plan to get what you want.
Following this 7-Step strategy will help you increase the probability of keeping your New Years Resolutions and achieving your goals. You don’t have to depend on will power and motivation alone. Create your own plan using this step-by-step guide to unlock your hidden potential of achieving whatever you want in life. Let this New Year reveal the “New You!”
