Val Kilmer Hospitalized Over Suspected Throat Tumor

Val Kilmer was hospitalized over a suspected throat tumor, according to reports. Reportedly, the actor was taken to the hospital last week when he began bleeding from the throat. It was believed that the actor was suffering from a tumor.

Paramedics rushed to his home in Malibu, California after someone there contacted 911 to report the bleeding. He was then taken to UCLA Medical Center where he was said to have undergone testing and subsequently, surgery for the condition.

Val Kilmer’s hospitalization was addressed on his official Facebook page by the actor himself. He said in a statement, “Thank you for all your sweet support. But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the ucla ICU. Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there’s minimum gossip and silly talk. I am praying for a speedy return to the boards as they say. God bless you all and please don’t worry. Love and deep affection , Val.”

Kilmer’s hospitalization was also noted by his representative of whom also released a statement to the media. The rep said, “Val Kilmer is currently undergoing tests at a Los Angeles hospital for a possible tumor.”

The rep noted that the actor was “being cared for by his two children, Mercedes, 23 and son Jack who is 19, both L.A. residents.”

The actor’s rep added, “According to a family friend and spokesperson, the doctors are encouraged by his progress and are hopeful that Mr. Kilmer will make a full recovery.”
