Bill Goldberg, Bret “The Hit Man” Hart, Ric “Nature Boy” Flair and “Mr. Monday Night” Rob Van Dam are among the 30 professional wrestlers appearing at the Legends of Wrestling Sunday, June 7 at Citi Field. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online at Mets.com/Wrestling or by calling 718-507-TIXX beginning Friday, February 27th at 10:00 a.m.

Goldberg said he is in talks with GLORY about taking a fight for the organization “just for fun.” He is 48 years old yet trains three to four times a week at a Muay Thai training center in California of which he is part-owner. Flair will be appearing at the Las Vegas Super Toy Con at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from 2-4pm. You can purchase and get more details by clicking here.

From 3 p.m.-5 p.m., the Legends will conduct autograph and Q&A sessions in Citi Field’s event spaces, while festival entertainment and photo opportunities will take place along the Field Level concourse. Immediately following, fans will have the opportunity to watch some of their favorite Legends compete in the main event. The Nasty Boys and Hacksaw Jim Duggan are some of the Legends that will be featured during the main event, consisting of six wrestling matches in a ring set up on second base.

The $25 event tickets provide access to the festival and the main event. Different VIP opportunities are also available ranging from an additional $15 up to $100, which allow access to Q&A sessions, private meet and greets, photo opportunities with a Legend in the ring and autograph sessions with the top-tier talent.

The world-class event and hospitality company for the New York Mets, Metropolitan Hospitality, will host the event, marking the first professional wrestling event at Citi Field. The event will bring professional wrestling back to the home of the New York Mets, as Shea Stadium hosted three wrestling cards taking place in 1972, 1976 and 1980. These matches featured popular wrestling icons Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Bruno Sammartino.

Recently, a fan asked this question on Twitter recently of RVD and his answer ended up basically being a pretty stiff jab at the WWE creative team and the way that he is booked. He took a shot at WWE creative and most people would agree with this insult.
