Stephanie McMahon is currently angry with AJ Lee but there is some cause to be happy. WWE issued the following press release, confirming the appointment of herself, Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Robyn Peterson to its Board of Directors.

STAMFORD, Conn., February 26, 2015 – WWE (NYSE: WWE) today announced that WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative Paul Levesque and Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product for Mashable Robyn Peterson have been elected to its Board of Directors.

“The appointments of Stephanie, Paul and Robyn to WWE’s Board of Directors will be invaluable to the company as we continue to transform our business and look toward a new era of unprecedented growth,” said WWE Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Vince McMahon. “I am confident that our Board of Directors and senior management team is stronger than ever and well-positioned for future success.”

Robyn Peterson is a 15-year veteran in the web, mobile and video development game. His heading of the Mashable.com overhaul in 2012 led to a 100-percent growth in mobile page views, pages-per-visit and ad engagement. He was formerly the VP of Technology and Product for NBCUniversal.

In related news, WrestleZone reported that AJ Lee’s tweet to Stephanie McMahon was something she did completely on her own. The site said that the tweet totally blindsided WWE. Stephanie McMahon was reportedly “furious” when she saw the tweet, as she felt she was being made to look bad on Twitter and was “shown up” by one of her employees. Vince McMahon instructed Stephanie to simply thank AJ in response.

AJ Lee’s merchandise claims though valid; she was a good merchandise seller when she was being pushed. The same formula is used for everyone on the roster, with certain top superstars getting higher percentages. In general, WWE Divas do not draw nearly as high as top men on the roster.

The site said, “as for talent pay, while there are exceptions, it is a general rule in WWE that the Divas on the main roster are paid significantly less than the men. That is reportedly not the case in NXT as the Divas there make more than the men because so many of the men came from indy backgrounds and are willing to take low pay just to be a part of WWE.”
