Fans can rejoice again and dissect every delicious frame of the second trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Director JJ Abrams does not hold back in the latest trailer.

From an old face and an old voice returning, to looks at the new characters, the villain of the piece’s appearance, and some just stunning visuals and both a look and tone much more in line with the original trilogy than the prequels. No doubt the trailer of the year so far for many people.

As tens of thousands of fans flocked to Anaheim, California for the Tenth annual Star Wars Celebration hosted by Disney, the world eagerly awaited the promised unveiling of the first full trailer for the upcoming long-awaited sequel Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and when it came it was everything we’ve all hoped for.

Disney brought out director J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy for the official panel on Star Wars: The Force Awakens to premiere the trailer, and the crowd — which lined up the night before to make sure they got in to the panel — erupted in cheers of pure joy and applause. The panel discussion itself was great, with most of the main cast — sans Harrison Ford — coming out on stage to answer some questions and talk to the audience. It was an amazing moment, for sure.”

Several new photos from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” have been released direct from the “Star Wars Celebration” panel for the film. The shows showcase the three key hero characters of the film – Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega as Poe Dameron, Rey and Finn respectively.

Some details about their appearance in the film have also emerged from the panel. Rey is a solitary scavenger from Jakku who meets another character (no doubt the stormtrooper Finn) when the adventure begins. Poe is the “best fricking pilot in the galaxy” sent on a mission by “a certain princess”. He ends up coming across Finn and their fates are forever intertwined.
