Dorothy Gale is accessorizing her blue gingham dress with a sizeable sword, as seen in these photos from Sunday’s episode of Once Upon a Time. The show will be diving further into the land of Oz on Sunday in the next episode, “Our Decay.”
In the episode, Hades in flashbacks learns about Zelena’s very special spell and pays her a visit in Oz with the intention of striking an alliance, only to find himself with more than just a partner in crime. Check out the episode to see what happens when the Wicked Witch, Zelena (Rebecca Mader) has the Scarecrow brought before her… only for Dorothy (Teri Reeves) to intervene.
Rebecca Mader’s Wicked Witch seems undeterred by grown Dorothy’s new attitude, as she flaunts (Scarecrow’s?) brains in front of the Kansas transplant (played by Chicago Fire alum Teri Reeves). Hades meanwhile evokes the nasty Miss Gulch, arriving on a bicycle, according to TV Line.
“Once Upon a Time” tells the story of a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide. Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is comfortable in her life as a bail bonds collector when Henry — the child she gave up a decade earlier — suddenly shows up. He is convinced that she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, who sent her away before the Evil Queen could cast a spell, freezing the fairytale world in time and bringing them to present-day Storybrooke, Maine. After taking Henry home, Emma decides to stay in the town to keep an eye on him, and she discovers he may not be wrong after all.
