Stephanie McMahon sent out the following Tweet in response to Patricia Arquette’s inspiring words at the Oscars, moments after winning the Best Supporting Actress for her role in Boyhood. However, some people did not take too kindly to it.
Thank You @PattyArquette for having the courage to fight for #WomensRights on such a grand platform. #UseYourVoice http://ift.tt/1wa40fi

Former Divas Champion AJ Lee, who has not been seen on television since December, apparently thought McMahon’s words were a bit hypocritical.
@StephMcMahon Your female wrestlers have record selling merchandise & have starred in the highest rated segment of the show several times,

@StephMcMahon And yet they receive a fraction of the wages & screen time of the majority of the male roster. #UseYourVoice

#GiveDivasaChance trended worldwide on Monday Night Raw this week, causing a wide range of responses from WWE Superstars,
On Raw, Paige & Emma were defeated by The Bella Twins in a 30 second match which saw Brie Bella pin Emma following one offensive maneuver. After the match was over, the hashtag #GiveDivasAChance was trending worldwide, and names such as Renee Young, Mick Foley, Havok and The Bella Twins either favorited Tweets with the hashtag or sent out Tweets of their own.
Early today, NXT announcer Corey Graves commented on the #GiveDivasAChance hashtag that trended worldwide during Monday Night Raw last night.
While I dig #GiveDivasAChance, I truly believe that our divas will make their own chances in time. Have you watched @WWENXT lately?!
— Corey Graves (@WWEGraves) February 24, 2015
Since then it seems Graves has caught quite a bit of grief over his opinions.
Remember that time I tried to speak rationally to the Internet?
Yeah, that'll never happen again.

Here are some fans’ opinions about the hashtag.
Teacher: Why didn't you study for your test?
Me: I was witnessing AJ slaying & making a difference for female wrestlers. #GiveDivasAChance

The fact that AJ is the only diva to really speak out says a lot about her as a woman not just as a wrestler #GiveDivasAChance #UseYourVoice

In related news, WWE Diva Paige recently appeared on Turnbuckle Weekly, hosted by Chuck Carroll, and during the interview, which covered many topics, Paige addressed AJ Lee’s current WWE status.
Paige noted she has kept in touch with Lee since she left TV, and she has been out dealing with a neck injury. Paige noted AJ has been receiving constant treatment for her injured neck added Lee “hopefully will be back soon.”
“You know, some people just need a break to rest up,” Paige said. “It happens to all of us. You get tired or rundown or you just need your body to rest up.”
