The Bella Twins attacked Paige in the corner and then hit a double team suplex for a two count. Nikki hit Rack Attack for a two count. Paige came back with some offense before AJ received the tag. AJ connected with a Thesz press and several punches. She kneed Nikki in the head and hit a tornado DDT onto the top rope. Nikki came back with a fallaway slam attempt, however, Paige dropkicked her and AJ called for a Shining Wizard. Nikki ducked and placed her in an electric chair drop setup. AJ countered with a DDT for two.

AJ applied the Black Widow but Brie ran back in to break it up, and Paige kicked her into the corner. Nikki slammed AJ down and got a near fall, broken up by Paige before she sent Brie outside. Paige slammed Brie into the steps. AJ countered a whip by Nikki and made her tap to the Black Widow. Whether this will be seen as a big step up for women equality in the WWE per AJ Lee’s past comments, will be left to be seen.

The match was made official for The Show of Shows on March 9, one week after AJ Lee made her unannounced return from injury to rescue Paige from a two-on-one beatdown at the hands of Nikki & Brie Bella. Paige had appeared to be on the verge of winning the Divas Title from the “fearless” champion until Brie ran interference, intentionally getting her sister disqualified while ensuring the title stayed in the Bellas’ possession.
Despite many previous altercations, “frenemies” AJ and Paige — who fought tooth and nail over the butterfly-emblazoned title in 2014 — look to be united by their common foes, Nikki & Brie, and the union could not be better timed for The Diva of Tomorrow.
The devilish twins spent weeks bullying Paige and using underhanded tactics to turn back her challenges for the title. The Divas division veterans also got the better of the WWE rookie as she struggled to find a tag team partner to support her. When it looked like Paige had no one left to turn to, the unlikeliest ally of all, AJ, reared her head and sent a vicious message to the always-boastful Bellas.
