Here is a pretty cool infographic from the UK holiday cottage website: Direct Holiday Cottages, that provides 50 facts about the United Kingdom.
The 1st section of the infographic is called, it’s all about size and gives facts like Ben Nevis in Scotland is the highest point in the UK and the 354 km long, River Severn is the longest river in the UK.
Next up we have, it’s all about the people, which gives seven different facts about the people in the UK. The 1st fact is that every day UK people drink 165 million cups of tea. The 2nd fact is that 25% of Londoners were born outside of the UK.
The 3rd part of the infographic is, it’s all about geography and it offers facts like, the 409 escalators in the London subway cover a distance every week which is approximately equivalent to several trips around the Globe and nowhere in the UK is more than 74.5 miles from the sea.
The 4th bit is called, it’s all about food & drink and has 7 different facts. The 1st fact is that champagne was invented in England in 1662 by Christopher Merret. The 2nd fact is that Britain has the highest consumption of cider per capita.
Finally there is, it’s just random which contains facts like, there are more chickens than humans in the UK and Big Ben does not refer to the famous clock but actually the Bell.
