E-commerce industry is growing. According to latest surveys, Global eCommerce Sales Topped $1 Trillion for the First Time in 2012 and US online retail sales alone is estimated to reach $370 billion by 2017. The conversion optimization company Invesp, has recently published a new infographic covering the common design commonalities and trends based on their survey of more than 200 websites.
According to the infographic, providing privacy assurances on cart page and displaying a Continue shopping cart button on checkout pages are two most common design practices found on 80% and 79% of e-commerce sites surveyed followed by displaying item images in shopping cart found on 71% of the websites.
