The blind auditions continued Tuesday night and it became clear that Cee Lo, Christina, and Adam are doing
everything they can to make sure that Blake does not have a fourth win in a row. They poked fun at him as usual, but Shelton started out the night with only one singer on his team and it wasn’t until halfway through the show that he was able to convince a second singer to join his team. However, the three time champ wasn’t going to lay down and he managed to catch up.
Aguilera snatched the first singer, 16-year-old Jacquie Lee after she and Shelton fought long and hard to convince Lee. Shelton went head to head with Levine for Barry Black who sang “What You Won’t Do for Love” as well as showing his unusual talent of being able to make a sound like a fluegelhorn with just his mouth. Although Shelton said that he was desperate to have him on his team, he was unable to convince him and he lost again, this time to Levine. Shelton did not push his button for country singer Destinee Quinn which was surprising. Aguilera and Cee Lo pushed their buttons and Quinn chose Team Aguilera. Cole Vosbury, a 22-year-old, was up next and sang “Movin’ On Up” and only had Green turn around so he automatically became a part of his team.
Holly Henry was able to get all four judges to turn around with her performance of “The Scientist”. All of them fought hard to get her on their team, but Blake fought the hardest and with Henry picking him, he got his first singer for this episode. Blake then got Austin Jenckes after singing Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” Shelton seemed to be on a role because he also won over E.G. Daily who in addition to having musical talent, she had voiced characters on “Happy Feet,” “Rugrats,” and “The Powerpuff Girls.”
Green then got Johnny Gray to join his team. The final performance of course got all four judges to turn around. Tessanne Chin sang Pink’s “Try” and had all of the judges begging to have her join their team. Levine just kept saying “please, please, please” and got her to pick his team.
Next Monday there will be more talented singers as the blind auditions continue.
