Wait, so people don’t want to hear Macaulay Culkin sing about pizza? The Pizza Underground walked off the stage in Nottingham after they were booed by a couple of fans. A few people even hurled beer cans at the Home Alone actor and his band mates.

Culkin reportedly told the crowd: “Why are you throwing those. I’d rather drink them.”

Before adding: “That’s the end of the show, goodnight.”

Maybe the crowd was mad that Culkin wasn’t wearing his now infamous Ryan Gosling shirt…

Macaulay Culkin’s band the Pizza Underground is a Pizza-inspired Velvet Underground cover band. According to Pitchfork, the band played hits like Pizza Day (“Perfect Day”) and a couple Doughasis (Oasis) covers before the crowd turned on them.

But the band didn’t let the incident get them down. According to the Pizza Underground, the majority of the crowd enjoyed the set.

The Pizza Underground gets a lot of press because, well, because it’s a band that features Macaulay Culkin and songs about pizza. It’s just bizarre. But that seems to be the point. Culkin and his crew frequently talk about Andy Warhol on their Twitter account and this whole thing looks like one big piece of performance art.

But what’s the point? What is the message that they are trying to get across?
