Former America’s Next Top Model judge Janice Dickinson revealed that she has breast cancer in an emotional interview with the Daily Mail. The world’s first supermodel said that her doctor felt a lump in her right breast during a routine exam earlier this month, and a subsequent biopsy led to the cancer diagnosis, according to TV Guide.
Fortunately for Dickinson, doctors said that this form of cancer is generally non-life-threatening, and that she is expected to make a full recovery. She will not have to have a mastectomy, but will require some surgery and radiation therapy. Dickinson, for her part, is keeping a positive mental attitude, saying, “I’m Janice Dickinson and I’m gonna stick around for a long, long time. You ain’t getting rid of me yet.”
The cancer, which Dickinson’s doctor caught in its early stages, is the most common type of non-invasive breast cancer. DCIS is not seen as life-threatening but can increase the odds of developing invasive breast cancer, according to Breastcancer.org.

According to CNN, in November 2014, she accused Bill Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 1982 and later sued Cosby for defamation after he labeled her claims as a lie. “There’s no way to put into words the depth of the misery, pain and humiliation … that I and the other women and all women and men that have gone through unconsented, non-consensual drugs and rape,” Dickinson said.
