Online Video Now A Must For Social Advertisers

2013 has seen an increase in the number of companies and brands using social video advertising, and this is set to explode in 2014.


Social video advertising allows organisations to use paid media to drive earned media. Put simply, social video ads get audiences to embrace an organisation’s video content as part of their social lives, and share it with their network.

eMarketer has recently described online video as the ‘next frontier’ for social advertisers and predicted that video ad spending at the end of 2013 will be 40% higher than it was at the end of 2012. A Mixpo report also suggests that a whopping 70% of agency executives plan on advertising on YouTube in 2014 and half plan to use Facebook video advertising in future campaigns.
