Take care of your body.

It’s the only place you have to live.

Jim Rohn

Your well being should be a priority in your life. However, many people place their own health on the back burner, leaving it unattended until it boils over on them or their loved ones. Health seems to be something that is very largely taken for granted. You feel invincible until it fails you. This is clearly a wrong-way attitude. If you take preventative action, you will certainly not only feel better, but your body will thank you by adding years onto your life! As Mr. Monk says., “You’ll thank me later.”

Work to improve your health for the correct reasons

When you try to improve yourself for other people, it is very easy to lose sight of your motivation if the nature and tenor of your relationship changes. The motivation needs to be within you, not someone else. The deeper your commitment is to your health, the more difficult it is to cheat on a diet or forgo your exercise routine.

It is also important to realize that you must love yourself first before anyone else will. People are drawn to other people who display self-confidence and self-respect. Be sure to start off each day with a healthy breakfast and avoid skipping. Drink plenty of water throughout the course of the day as well. Why?

  • When you eat poorly, you are doing yourself a huge disservice. You are what you eat, after all. If you eat unhealthy foods, you will wind up unhealthy with chronic health problems like elevated cholesterol, hypertension (high blood pressure), or diabetes, just to name a few.

  • The healthier foods you eat, the better you will feel and the stronger you will become.

4. Relax. Make time to relax. It is vitally important that you take care of your mental health, also, by incorporating relaxation techniques into your lifestyle. Regular relaxation helps reduce stress and anxiety and recharges you so that you can bring more energy and passion to all areas of your life.
