Facebook is a part of over one billion people’s lives, and while it’s easy to check in here and there, we never really consider just how much time it takes up.
Thanks to TIME, a new tool helps give us an idea of just how much time we’ve wasted spent on Facebook over the years.
To get started, click “Next,” and then “Okay” from the pop-up which lets TIME analyze your activity.
Next, you’re asked to estimate how much time you spend on Facebook per day, but you can also change it to “per week” or “per month” if you’re not around every day.
Once you’re satisfied, click “Next,” and let the number crunching begin.
Depending on how long you’ve been on Facebook, it can take several minutes. You may see a message that says, “Sorry, Facebook is a little overwhelmed right now! Please try again soon,” but at least for me, it kept calculating.
According to TIME, I’ve “wasted” 30 days, 11 hours and 27 minutes on Facebook.
Hey, you’ve gotta be good at something. How much time have you spent on Facebook?
