The Columbus Zoo has a water polo player and it’s an elephant. Beco, who turned 5-years-old on March 27, loves to push a soccer ball from one side of his water area to the other.
The Columbus Zoo is home to more than 10,000 animals from 575 species. The location bills itself as a recreational and education destination, which includes the includes the 22-acre Zoombezi Bay water park and 18-hole Safari Golf Course.
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium also operates the Wilds, a 10,000-acre conservation center and safari park located in southeastern Ohio.
In today’s featured video Beco kicks around his water polo ball to the tune of Monkeys Spinning Monkeys by Kevin Macleod.
The video was uploaded on March 26, and has thus far received nearly 5,300 views. The video has 78 thumbs up votes and zero down votes at the time of this post.
Watch the entire video and you will also witness Beco the Elephant throwing his ball into the air as he happily splashes through his water-filled enclosure.
We don’t know at this time if Beco was trained to play water polo or if a trainer was involved in his favorite past time.
