LinkedIn is the go-to social network for business professionals, but starting today, the social network is opening up to our furry feline friends.
Aptly titled “Cats You May Know,” cats will be able to network with other cats, and see potential contacts they’ve ran into in the streets or seen messing around in their owner’s yard.
Every cat has a photo so you know who you’re dealing with, and you can get a quick glance at their occupation such as “Laser Specialist” or “Nap Tech.”
Because owners often give their cats nicknames, LinkedIn also supports pseudonyms, and here are a few of our favorites:
- Furrgus Sugarbritches
- Battlepaws Galacticat
- Admiral Wiggles
- Pooptart
To help kitties navigate their way around the new feature, LinkedIn shares a few tips:
- Focus on quality: When it comes to your pawfessional network, quality matters. Make sure you’re inviting the top dogs, or in this case, top cats.
- Personalize your invites: Your feline friend will appreciate a personal note. Remind them of your last chance meeting with a hairball it coughed up.
- Pay it forward: Endorse cats with exceptional skills such as random feet attacks, kitty somersaults, and napping in the sun.
