Increasing Retail Sales With In-Store Display And Mobile

In-store consumers have a short attention span, and 63 percent are eager to use their smart phones and mobile devices in the course of doing their shopping. They are quickly using them to compare prices while in the store.

There are things that businesses can do to make things easier for tech-savvy shoppers who are looking to get in and get out. For instance, make sure that your business is easily findable on Google Maps, Apple Maps, Yelp, and anywhere else your customer might be searching. Consider asking your customers to log into free Wi-Fi by using their email address.

Also, make sure that your in store experience is making the decision-making process easier for customers. It also helps to make sure that there are well-designed and strategic displays in place to help grab your customers’ attention while they are shopping in-store. A vast majority (90 percent) of people who walk into a store turn right.

For instance, one third of the time your customers spend looking at displays is directed at floor stands. Almost half their time is directed looking at end caps. Those numbers should provide a good indication as to where to place your displays.

Make sure that you are using the data that is available to ensure your customers have the most efficient shopping experience possible. With so many choices available, it’s important to keep the experience a positive one.
