Orlando Teen Stabbed Over Facebook Post [Video]

Orlando, FL – A 16-year-old is sweating attempted murder charges after stabbing a fellow student over a Facebook post. Yes, you read that right. People are officially being stabbed over Facebook posts.

The two teenagers were found fighting Monday night by police in the area of 131 Briarcliff Drive in Poinciana. According to witnesses, the 14-year-old was walking home with friends when he confronted the 16-year-old about something he wrote on Facebook. The 16-year-old had “ignored” the 14-year-old throughout the day.

They started fighting, and the 16-year-old pulled a knife and stabbed the 14-year-old multiple times. According to a witness, “[the 16-year-old] was holding him [the 14-year-old] by the neck, trying to choke him out and stabbing him.”

Both teens were taken to local hospitals. The 14-year-old’s condition is unknown, but he is expected to survive.

The older teen told police that the 14-year-old had been telling everyone at school that he wanted to fight him over the Facebook post, but that he had been ignoring his threats. He was confronted by the younger teen while walking home.

Regardless, the older teen was arrested on seven counts of aggravated battery, one count of aggravated assault with a weapon and one count of attempted murder.

Both teens attend the Discovery Intermediate School in Poinciana.
