First came the leaked trailer. Now, Marvel’s holding an event for press Tuesday and some big news is expected. Various comic blogs have reported receiving invites to a secret event held by Marvel Studios on Friday. The event will be held at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.
There’s no word on what will be announced; however, it’s expected that Marvel Studios will reveal some big news about upcoming films.
It also appears the studio has invited some fans, too, through their Twitter account. What could the news be? An announcement for Dr. Strange? A possible female superhero flick to contend with Wonder Woman? Captain America 3? Iron Man 4?
Following the release of the first “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer, everyone’s still talking about the clip and the proper glimpse of James Spader’s Ultron villain who dominates much of the preview.
Speaking with Total Film, Spader discussed the motion-capture process for the project and confirmed that he shot his scenes with the other actors present and with much of his dialogue recorded live:
“When you first meet Ultron, his physicality is very different to what he evolves to. It was in the script but we arrived at the metamorphosis of him on the set. In practice, in rehearsals.
We were able to create the physicality of the character on the motion-capture stage. They would dot me up and I was wearing a helmet that had two cameras on my face, and they could live stream it to a monitor so we could try different things.
Then I’d go and shoot the scene with the other actors and they’re recording all of it, including my voice. 9 times out of 10 they were not using ADR (additional dialogue recording) after the fact.”
He also says the mo-cap process allowed him to fine tune his work even after the fact: “If you wanted to add something, or change something, you had the opportunity to do that. I just loved it.”
Talking about Ultron’s personality, the biggest thing that drew him to the role may not be what you expect – the dark humor:
“There’s a humorous aspect to him, which is something that drew me in from the very first conversation I had with Joss [Whedon]. In many ways he’s a child, this character, because he’s a brand new being who’s just come to be. And yet, through artificial intelligence, he has an incredible capacity for knowledge. So he’s a very powerful, smart child.”
After the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer hit the web late Wednesday evening, fans have been obsessively rewatching the teaser for clues and hints about the upcoming movie.
Almost immediately, eagle-eyed viewers honed in on a scene at the 37 second mark in which the camera pans over the group of “Avengers” plus a few extra women
And then there’s this mystery woman standing to the left of Thor. avengers age of ultron mystery woman. Who is this mystery woman?
More footage from Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is slated to premiere during Tuesday’s episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
In the wake of events, the question remained, will next week’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” episode still carry the same trailer? Turns out there will be more. In an official statement, Marvel says:
“Because we believe that the best way to say thanks is to give you more, we’re delivering new Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron action to your TV sets, two weeks in a row.
Tune in to ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ this Tuesday, October 28 at 9pm ET on ABC to see an exclusive piece from ‘Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron’.
