The other key here, is to make sure your email address has your name contained in it. Too many times you will see first initial, last initial and last name all together (How is this being personal?) You should at least have your first name contained in your email name and better yet, your first and last name. If you make your email name personal, people will connect with you. Make sure you always put the person’s name at the top of the email. People are getting lazy in the text-message culture. A number of people don’t put the person’s name at the top of the email message. People like to be addressed by their first name and it helps insure that the person you are writing to has their attention.

Make sure you have an email signature with you company logo and contact information. Give People a way to follow-up with you if they need to get a hold of you.
