My wife and I buy almost all of our household goods on Amazon. In the past we would jump from Walmart.com, Target.com, and other websites, in an attempt to compare the cost of good on Amazon. Now, thanks to a website and a separate browser extension, those days are over. With Holiday shopping about to kick off in full force for Black Friday 2014, I highly recommend checking out both of these Amazon price monitoring options.
The first product, known as TheTracktor.com, allows you to enter an item’s Amazon URL, ASIN, or product description, in order to generate its price history and other helpful info within seconds. You can also receive an email any time a price drops when you choose to track an item.
Here is a quick look at the output used for The Tracktor program:
If you are a user of Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers, you can also try out a popular plugin known as The Camelizer. This browser extension only requires that you click the camel item on your browser in order to check out historical data about numerous Amazon products. Just like TheTracktor website, you can also choose to track items in order to ensure the best deal possible.
So remember, Amazon.com is cheap for many products, but not always the cheapest option. The marketplace is known to shift prices wildly based on Amazon direct pricing and the pricing of third-party providers.
Give the free plugin and website options a try and let us know which one you favor.
