The UK porn industry must now ban certain sexual acts from being produced and sold, though viewers can still legally watch them. The legislation was discretely passed on Tuesday through an amendment to the 2003 Communications Act.
The Audiovisual Media Services Regulation 2014 requires video-on-demand online pornography to follow the same R18 guidelines as DVD sex-shop porn by the British Board of Film Censors (BBFC).
Jerry Barnett, founder of anti-censorship campaign Sex and Censorship, told Vice UK, “There appear to be no rational explanations for most of the R18 rules. They’re simply a set or moral judgments designed by people who have struggled endlessly to stop the British people from watching pornography.”
Three acts were deemed life threatening: strangulation, facesitting, and fisting.
The UK porn ban includes these acts:
Aggressive whipping
Caning
Facesitting
Female ejaculation
Fisting
Penetration by any object “associated with violence”
Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if it’s consensual)
Spanking
Strangulation
Urolagnia (known as “water sports,” or peeing on a partner)
Many are calling the ban on female ejaculation sexist because male ejaculation remains unrestricted.
How I would love to see a politician explain live on camera why female ejaculation is now banned in UK porn.

Others are criticizing the government’s priorities by passing this legislation instead of focusing on other issues.
Apparently a law just passed in the UK banning dirty talking, bondage and squirting in porn. Cool priorities, government.

"The UK Government has done more to stop fisting in porn than it has about MPs raping and murdering children."

The legislation hurts independent UK porn producers the most, especially those producing BDSM, LBGT, and female-dominatrix pornography. Many of these producers have already been forced to shut down. The ban could shut down even more because viewers can legally find this material online from abroad sources.
Myles Jackman, a UK-based obscenity lawyer, said some of these producers may relocate to other countries where similar restrictions aren’t enforced.
Jackman drew larger implications about what this legislation means for Internet freedom. “Pornography is the canary in the coalmine of free speech: it is the first freedom to die. If this assault on liberty is allowed to go unchallenged, other freedoms will fall as a consequence.”
While the UK porn ban has drawn much controversy by censoring certain sexual acts, some are finding humor in the logic behind the legislation.
I'd like to know how many people in UK porn have died from facesitting. Who are these martyrs?
