“Wheel of Fortune” contestant Matt DeSanto definitely wins the “wow” factor in guessing a puzzle. On this past Friday’s episode, DeSanto guessed the right answer with just one letter. During the second toss-up,with only the letter “e” shown, he guessed “The Lone Ranger.”
Looking a little astonished Pat Sajak then smiled and joked. “I don’t want to cause trouble at home but I think there’s still a connection between you and Vanna (White).”
DeSanto then went on to win every round ending up with a grand total of $91,892. He is also the first contestant to break $70,000 before the bonus round. The operations manager from Pennsylvania truly was amazing.
A news station in Witchita, Kansas sent out this tweet.

The lucky guess puts DeSanto right up there with former contestant Emil De Leon, who guessed “New Baby Buggy” for solving the final puzzle.
Wheel of Fortune fails and contestants giving ridiculous answers are more common to watch. Sajak even walked off the set during a “Best Friends Week” episode shot in Hawaii.
The 68-year-old host has admitted some players annoy him.
He said in a Huffington Post interview, “It’s funny. I’m never troubled when a player makes a mistake, does something that at home you might say is stupid because I understand what they’re going through. The only time I ever get annoyed with players, it doesn’t happen very often, but once or twice a season you get someone on there who you know it’s just kind of a hoot for them. They’re going to be as outrageous as they can so that they can show the video to people. They’re more interested in promoting themselves then playing the game. That’s the only time I get annoyed.”
Meanwhile Vanna White holds the record for most clapping according to Morgan James Publishing.
